Nearest Tube, iPhone App και Augmented Reality

Η αγορά και η δημιουργικότητα των developers για augmented reality φέρνει στο προσκήνιο όλο και περισσότερα apps. Αυτή την φορά είναι η σειρά της acrossair να μεταφέρει την ιδέα του Nearest Subway ή Nearest Tube (ανάλογα αν βρίσκεστε σε Αμερική ή Ευρώπη) στην οθόνη του αγαπημένου σας iPhone 3GS, και μόνο. Η ιδέα είναι απλή και συνδυάζει live video από την κάμερα του iPhone με πληροφορίες που ανανεώνονται σε πραγματικό χρόνο πάνω στην εικόνα. Το GPS δίνει το στιγμή, η πυξίδα την κατεύθυνση και το internet όλα τα δεδομένα για κίνηση προς τον πλησιέστερο σταθμό μετρό. Το βίντεο που ακολουθεί είναι διαφωτιστικό και μόνο η αρχή για augmented reality ιPhone Apps. Το site της acrossair περιμένει υπομονετικά την έγκριση της Apple για την διάθεση του app.

When you load the app, holding it flat, all 13 lines of the London underground are displayed in coloured arrows. By tilting the phone upwards, you will see the nearest stations: what direction they are in relation to your location, how many kilometres and miles away they are and what tube lines they are on. If you continue to tilt the phone upwards, you will see stations further away, as stacked icons. Only available to Apple iPhone 3GS users.
